Train Dreams (27 minute documentary. 2022)

I made this in collaboration with SASE (Screen Archive Southeast) in 2022. This film is a composite of films by and about steam enthusiast and amateur filmmaker Chris Cooper. Revisiting his life with me through this material we unearth a complex human narrative where a love of trains is tempered by family problems. It was screened at Cinecity Film Festival in 2022. Q&A with Prof Frank Gray and Jane King of SASE. It also screened at Flatpack Film Festival (Birmingham) in 2023.
